I just returned from a week-long trip to Penn State, during which I visited four of their campuses in the southern region of Pennsylvania: Harrisburg, Berks, York and the beautiful Mont Alto (formerly the Pennsylvania State Forestry Academy). On this trip, I was honored to have fourteen faculty members from almost as many different disciplines allow me into their classrooms and office spaces. The photographs I made of them add considerably to the breadth and depth of the Teaching and Learning Project.

One thing that is particularly interesting to me as this project continues is the visual similarities and differences in teaching and other student contact (office hours, etc.) within the disciplines. I can’t help but think of Lee Shulman’s Signature Pedagogies. More on this soon…
